The Hot English Group shall be referred to as HEG. Divisions within the HEG include Hot English Publishing SL (HEP), Hot English Language Services (HELS), and Hot English magazine (HEM). For the purposes of this document, we will use HEG to refer to all companies within this group unless otherwise stated. When reserving a course, an advert, or a course abroad the contract is between one of these companies, and the client.
“The student” or “client” is the person or persons in whose name the booking is made or on whose behalf the booking is made.
This agreement is legally binding once HEG has received a completed enrolment form or advertising order form from the student or client, whether on-line or in writing. If the booking is made by telephone, the agreement is legally binding once the booking details have been taken by HEG and once the necessary payment has been received by the company and written confirmation sent to the student or client.
Full payment is required at the time of booking for reservations made less than 8 weeks before the course is due to start. Due to changes in currency rates, we may change our prices, if necessary. However, no change will be made to a price once full payment has been made. Charges are sometimes made for registration fees, course materials, examination fees and excursion/activity fees. Seasonal surcharges may also apply to certain courses or types of accommodation. Please see our price lists for details.
Credit/Debit card: we accept payment by debit cards with the Switch or Delta symbols. We also accept Visa and MasterCard credit cards. There are no charges for payments made by debit card.
Cheque: cheques should be made payable to Hot English Publishing SL.
Bank Transfer: please ensure that we receive the full amount required, free of bank charges, and inform our offices once you have made a transfer. Payment should be made in euros. Please contact us for our bank details.
Our prices do not include flights or other transport to our schools or offices. Clients and students must make their own travel arrangements and are responsible for obtaining all necessary travel documents, such as a valid passport and visa. We will, of course, be pleased to provide students with detailed advice on the best route to our schools.
If documentation is denied due to reasons within the student's control (such as the student not possessing a valid passport, or other necessary documentation or not allowing sufficient time for the visa to be issued), the standard cancellation fees will apply.
If students or clients feel they have genuine reason for complaint, they should mention this to HEG as soon as possible. We will then respond to all reasonable complaints and we will do all we can to resolve any problems. We will not, unfortunately, be able to respond to complaints made to HEG after the student has finished their course, unless HEG were notified of this complaint and reasonable opportunity was given to HEG to respond to this complaint.
Students, teachers, representatives and those accompanying students, are expected to behave in a courteous manner and to respect fellow students and staff at our schools. The illegal use of drugs, alcohol abuse and inconsiderate behaviour is considered unacceptable. HEG reserves the right to withhold courses and school accommodation from any student, teacher or representative violating regulations or generally behaving in an offensive manner towards others. HEG reserves the right to send home, without escort or refund, any participant violating the terms of this article. The return trip will be at the expense of the participant or their family.
Any money-back guarantees, where given, are only applicable to those students with a 100% attendance level, who also complete all classes contracted, do all the exercises given, as well as any homework and any other outside work. This option is only applicable within 30 days of the moment when the payment is made, assuming that classes have begun within that period.
Although every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in our literature and websites is accurate, HEG does not accept any responsibility for errors or omissions. In many cases, we are dependent on the information supplied to us by other companies and the authorities abroad, who are at liberty to make changes at any time. We therefore ask that you discuss with us any details which are of particular importance to you before you make your booking.
